Today, a brand new soap appeared online- Blue Ocean Waves in the gentle foaming formula. It has a matte blueberry-colored bottle and pump with a gold rim. The soap is described as “a perky blend of creamy sandalwood, salty ocean breeze & lemon zest.” It’s seemingly part of the rainbow White Barn collection that launched fairly recently, with four other soaps so far- Fresh Mint & Apple, Island Papaya, Pomegranate Lemonade, and Cotton & Freesia.

Today I’m here to share my favorite BBW products from this week. I’ll be posting these “BBW Favorites” every Monday from now on. These are the products I’ve been using throughout the week and I would love to share them with you!
1. Hello Beautiful Moisturizing Body Wash

I absolutely love this body wash. Hello Beautiful is one of my favorite scents, and when I was running low on my Rose body wash I got this one to replace it. I first bought it this past summer at SAS and it has not disappointed! If you like floral scents and are in need of a body wash, I would definitely recommend this one! Unfortunately, it’s no longer available directly from Bath & Body Works, so if you’re looking to buy direct I would recommend Perfect Peony, Magic in the Air, Aromatherapy Love: Rose & Vanilla, or Rose instead. I love to use this body wash especially in the spring and summer since it is such a nice, light floral scent. I often pair it with my Hello Beautiful shower gel for double the amazing smell!
2. Perfect Peony Shower Gel

I first tried Perfect Peony last week when my limited edition spring tote arrived. I was pleasantly surprised by BBW’s brand-new signature fragrance- it’s absolutely amazing! If you like other floral scents such as Rose and Beautiful Day and enjoy using shower gels, you should definitely get this amazing one! I would definitely recommend this one, especially for spring and summer since it is so light and floral. I’m not a huge fan of body lotions, so I gifted mine from the tote to my mom this Mother’s Day. She absolutely loves it, and I’m sure you will too!
3. Cactus Blossom Body Cream

I bought this one at BBW’s first “Body Care Day” last December and I am absolutely in LOVE. Cactus Blossom is an amazing scent and the packaging is beautiful. The body cream is great; my skin feels much softer after I use it! I would definitely repurchase; if you are a fan of floral-and-musk scents like this (similar to Hello Beautiful) I would absolutely recommend it! (Also, I would recommend Cactus Blossom’s sister scent, Desert Wildflower, as well!)
4. Fresh Cut Lilacs Fine Fragrance Mist

Fresh Cut Lilacs is one of my favorite scents from the recently-introduced floral Bold Blooms collection. Described as “a just-picked blend of lilac bouquets, dewy greens & soft spring air”, it smells to me like lilacs (obviously!) and several other fragrant flowers (possibly magnolia, gardenia or rose- I’m not sure), as well as a small hint of grass and a sweet vanilla. If you like floral scents, you should definitely try this one now that it’s available in body care! If you’re tempted just like I was when I first saw this one, you can it buy it here (unless you already have it- but why not stock up!) I would also recommend Whipped Vanilla Chiffon from the same collection, which is a vanilla bean-based scent with a hint of peach and sugar, and mostly steers away from the florals of the other scents in this collection.
5. Rose Water & Ivy Hand Soap

I’m using the sold-out Bold Blooms one right now, but I couldn’t find a picture of it so I used an old stock image from Google. Anyway, I love anything in this scent! It smells like a beautiful blend of garden blooms. (Notice a trend on this list: light, floral scents, which are my favorite, especially for spring.) I would definitely recommend this scent if you like your hands to smell like a lovely fragrant garden!
6. Strawberry Pound Cake 3-Wick Candle
Strawberry Pound Cake. The candle sensation that first debuted last spring, exploded onto the candle scene at winter SAS, and has had 5 repackaged versions (plus a single wick candle, Pocketbac, hand cream, and body care collection) to date during its year-long tenure. I LOVE this candle. It smells like pound cake, strawberries, and whipped cream with a slight hint of sugar and vanilla. Plus, no matter what version you have, the packaging is beautiful! If you enjoy other bakery/gourmand and fruit-scented candles, this is the perfect addition to your collection- unless you already have enough to last you the next two years, of course! (Stock up while you can, girl!) You can buy the most recent version (Bold Blooms, from April 2020) here.
7. Strawberry Pound Cake Pocketbac

Why not get a hand sanitizer to match your new candle? Besides, it’s a great deal- you get to stay clean and sanitized all while smelling great! I would definitely recommend this Pocketbac- I’ve been using it every day this entire week. It smells just like the candle, so what’s not to love! Unfortunately though, it’s not available online (and stores are obviously closed), so unless you buy one from a third-party seller, you won’t be able to get one just yet. If you do happen to be one of the lucky people who got it before BBW stores closed, or received it in the limited-edition spring 2020 tote (like I did), good for you! You already have the chance to try this amazing scent. And I hope you enjoy it!
8. Vanilla Buttercream Hand Cream

This was the very first hand cream I ever got at BBW, back when I first visited in early May of 2019. I absolutely love it- it’a a very light and sweet yet neutral scent, perfect for someone who gets extremely overwhelmed by other overpowering scents. I use this one the most out of my 15 hand creams and have bought backups to make sure I have enough. (Plus, that sprinkle packaging on the most recent version is beautiful!)

Two days ago, on Monday, May 4, 2020, BBW Rewards members got their first look at the upcoming summer collection. Tess from Life Inside the Page shared these details as well. According to current knowledge, the collection features two body care scents, quite a few hand soaps in multiple formulas, and several candles. While the majority of the hand soaps are already available on the BBW website, the body care has not yet appeared. This is sure to be a big hit once everything is available- the scents sound amazing, and the packaging looks beautiful!
Let’s first talk about the products that are already available- the summer hand soap collection. As of now, there are two related packaging styles for the seemingly seaside-inspired collection, both named “Seaside Treats”, and one for the “Fresh Squeezed” fruit-inspired collection. All three are currently available online, with several individual scents already having sold out for certain periods of time.
The first collection appears to be inspired by the sea, with coastal-inspired colorful watercolor-style packaging. The collection features 6 gentle foaming soaps: old favorite Boardwalk Vanilla Cone, fall-inspired Crisp Morning Air, brand-new sold-out Cotton Candy Skies, previously popular Turquoise Waters, and apparently-new Beach Bliss and Sea Salt & Lime.
The second collection, also called “Seaside Treats” features the same 6 scents as its colorful counterpart, but in neutral, metallic packaging. These neutral-packaged soaps are also only available in the new “Gentle Gel” formula, not the classic and much more common Gentle Foaming.

The third and final currently-available summer hand soap collection, known as “Fresh Squeezed”, features colorful 6 fruit-scented gentle foaming soaps- brand-new Blueberry Lemonade, summer classic Coconut Colada, somewhat-common Island Papaya, PocketBac favorite Pineapple Mango, fairly new but popular Raspberry Tangerine, and classic Sun-Washed Citrus- all in corresponding packaging. Each soap’s packaging is decorated to look like the two (or more) fruits it represents.

A similarly-packaged hand soap duo currently called the “Black & White” collection- hence its monochromatic packaging- has yet to be released. The two current Black & White hand soaps are Beach Cabana (in white packaging with gold and gray accents) and Endless Weekend (in black packaging with gray and white accents.) Both scents have been available at BBW in various forms for quite some time as I am writing this, and due to their beachy aesthetic are especially popular in the summer months, during times such as SAS. The two soaps feature the same black pump handles but have contrasting packaging.

UPDATE: Friday, May 8. Hello everyone! I didn’t feel like erasing all of the “coming soon” collection details above, so I’m just going to share the products as an update now that they are actually online.
BODY CARE: Boardwalk Taffy and Sea Salt & Lavender made their body care debut and are currently available (as of 1:00 PM CST) in shower gel and fragrance mist form (Boardwalk Taffy) and body cream, shower gel and fragrance mist form (Sea Salt & Lavender. Two similarly packaged scents, Sunrise Sail and Coastal Hydrangeas, also launched, but had not been part of BBW’s body care previews and therefore completely elusive. As of 1 PM CST, Sunrise Sail is only available as a shower gel and body cream, and Coastal Hydrangeas as a fragrance mist. (All other options have sold out.) A new Men’s Collection scent, Coast, also dropped and is currently available as a recently-introduced 3-in-1 hair, face and body wash (which used to be just a 2-in-1 hair and body wash), body cream, cologne, mini cologne, and deodorizing body spray.
CANDLES/HOME FRAGRANCE: The summer candle collection dropped today as well. It includes the two candles shown in the preview, Berry Waffle Cone Cone and Summer Boardwalk, as well as Warm Apple Pie (online exclusive), Sandcastles & Sunshine, Turquoise Waters, Ocean Driftwood, and Coastal Sun. Four new Wallflower plugs also dropped: Gem Butterfly Nightlight, Stained Glass Lighthouse Nightlight, Guitar, and Watermelon.
Two new individual candles also launched, Aloha Kiwi Passionfruit (in a pinkish-red color) and online-exclusive Cucumber Melon in new packaging.
Two new candle holders, “Sparkling Shells” and “Palm Tree Skyline” also debuted.

HAND SOAPS: The “Black & White” collection, which was teased in the summer previews with Endless Weekend and Beach Cabana soaps in monochromatic packaging, was released with the two preview soaps as well as two others, Fresh Lavender Mint (in white) and Crystal Waves (in black), both completely new scents.
A colorful collection of four gentle foaming hand soaps also launched, and does not yet have an official name. This collection was not shown or mentioned at all in the summer previews. The four soaps are Island Papaya (in light ballerina pink), Cotton & Freesia (in light mint blue), Fresh Mint Apple (in the same shade of pinkish-red as the Aloha Kiwi Passionfruit candle), and Pomegranate Lemonade (in dark plum purple). All four soaps are online exclusive, and all but Island Papaya are completely new.
Two gentle foaming soaps in packaging similar to 2019 and 2020’s “Foamy Friends” soap and Pocketbac collection (which featured scents such as Stay Magical in Pineapple Punch and Feline Good in Cherry Sweet). The two soaps are “So Fantastic” (in the scent “Jawsome”- what does that smell like?? “A fintastic, ocean-y blend of golden apricot, blue orchid petals & coral sands”, apparently) and “Shell Yeah” (in much more straightforward “Peach Passionfruit”.)
Two other soaps from the collection, Be Magical (Unicorn Milkshake) and Stay Pawsitive (Iced Vanilla Cookie) were re-released online. They debuted earlier in 2020 along with the rest of the “Foamy Friends” 2020 collection.
HAND SANITIZERS: A brand-new hand sanitizer spray (not branded as “Pocketbacs”, like the foaming mousse antibacterial santizers and the GermX-style pump bottle, but similar to the “Pocketbac sprays” from a few years ago) was released today, in the scent “Pineapple Colada”. The packaging is similar to that of the “Fresh Squeezed” hand soap collection. (Pineapple Colada is not to be confused with Coconut Colada, which is a soap included in that Fresh Squeezed collection.) A completely different hand sanitizer spray, Citrus & Sunshine, was teased in the previews, but has not yet been released online (to my current knowledge).

The Men’s Collection Ocean PocketBac was released in a 5-pack today, and is still currently available (as of 1 PM CST). All other hand sanitizers and holders (besides Pineapple Colada) are currently sold out.

Oh, and one more thing before you go- that elusive bakery collection (Cherry Hand Pie, Blackberry Cobbler, Strawberry Maple Waffles, Chocolate Peach Macaron, etc.) are (or were) back in stock now! (Only Clementine Sorbet, Chocolate Rose Macaron, Frosted Pumpkin Cookie and Blueberry Pie and are available right now. Sorry!)
